We had spotted a few whales out aways from the beach this morning and than spotted this one playing around close to shore.

We hadn’t seen the whales for a few days and had heard that because of the heat they were heading north earlier than normal. We were lucky enough to see this group of humpbacks jumping right out in front of us and Tracy snapped these pictures. The group of fisherman in the pangas had to leave the area as these whales were jumping right in the middle of them.
We haven’t seen as many whales in the last couple of days and we really want to get some photos if we can. The beach in front of us drops off steeply and the whales go by about 50 to 100 yards from the shore. Thought we would post this link Gray Whales: Migration. for the nieces and nephews to look at.
